Company Overview

Tesseraz is an advanced composite materials solution provider. We design, manufacture and assemble multifunctional architectural products. We also provide design solutions and engineering services to promote the use of composite materials in architectural, urban and interior design.
With our patented technology, we help designers and architects to combine structural performance and insulating properties. Our products are made of innovative transparent composite materials and the latest thinking in smart materials. Tesseraz is a technology driven company committed to reduce its environmental footprint and to adopt the Cradle to Cradle certification.
Founded in 2013, Tesseraz is a private company that is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.

Executive Team
Dr. Christophe Mobuchon, Co-founder and CEO

Christophe leads Tesseraz’s overall development and commercialization efforts and brings a strong background in smart and polymer-based materials formulation, characterization and processing.
He recently joined the University of British Columbia as a Lecturer and the Composites Research Network (CRN) as Team Lead – Materials Characterization where he oversees the composite materials characterization activities. His professional experience includes establishing linkages and leading closed collaborations with aerospace companies in the composites industry.

 He is the recipient of the 2006 Rio Tinto Alcan award for Academic and Research Excellences. He holds a Master of Science and a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Polytechnique Montreal. His research has allowed the invention of a characterization technology (2D-SAOS) which has been commercialized by TA Instruments. 

Prior to CRN and Tesseraz, he served as an Assistant Professor at L’Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France).

Dr. Navid Zobeiry, Co-founder and CTO

Navid leads Tesseraz’s product development efforts and research & development activities.
He received his Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 2010. Currently he holds the positions of Lecturer and Research Associate at the Materials Engineering Department of UBC. In 2011, Navid contributed to a successful $9.8 million WD grant proposal to establish the Composites Research Network (CRN) focusing on manufacturing of advanced composite materials. At CRN, he has led numerous manufacturing and characterization projects in close collaboration with companies from various industry sectors including aerospace, transportation, marine and construction.

Yalda Atri, Creative Director

Yalda is responsible for the creative leadership of the brand. She took her Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of British Columbia in 2003 and her Bachelor of Applied Design in Interior Design from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2008. She has several years of experience working as a professional interior designer/independent artist. Her art works and designs have been featured and acknowledged in several exhibitions.

Tamara Watt, Business Development Director

Tamara leads our marketing strategy, drives growth and oversees customer relationships. She is passionate about digital advertising and community development. Tamara holds a B.Sc. of Environmental Science from McGill.
